It's that time of year, the ground is covered with snow and all of the flowers are in hibernation mode. I was sifting through my pictures from the summer and fall looking for some inspiration and I found this picture of a Sunflower on the brink of opening up ~ sitting tight in the bud waiting to reveal itself . Each layer waiting to unfold, made me think of a gift layered in tissue paper. Kinda like laying out the red carpet for the big event ~ my imagination attempted to unwrap it in my mind ~ the colour, the petals, the smell, the character ... ~ I feel a bit of excitement as I entertain the possibilities and that's when I am drawn to the wisdom of this tiny piece of nature. Each one of us is a flower ~ unfolding as we grow. While we are often distracted by the outside world, pulled into it ~ our true power is in what lies within us. While we as humans share many similarities physically ~ everyone of us has formed a different recipe deep in our cells. It has been experienced, perceived, passed down and melded all together into our own unique expression. There is not one of us that is the same! So what is your potential? What lies inside you waiting to be unwrapped? Stop trying to be like everyone ~ out there ~ stop trying to be an imitation. Listen to yourself. What you think, what you see, how you feel! Bring out the gift of you ~ inspire the world with your perception, your view, your truth. Tap into the potential that lies inside of you ~ the possibilities are endless! You are a gift to be opened!
